How it all started…

In 2016, I made the difficult decision to leave my job abroad—a position I had loved for over a decade—to focus on my family. Walking away from a stable, well-paying job was not easy, especially with the uncertainty of how we’d make ends meet. I even found myself selling homemade pandesal around town just to get by. It was a challenging time, but I pushed through. Though my mind kept urging me to return overseas, my heart chose to stay with my family.

To make better use of the space I rented for selling pandesal, I had the idea to offer street-side BBQ, kebabs, and smoked meats in the afternoons. I sourced food-safe steel drums and built two smoker grills. Once people got a taste of the BBQ, word quickly spread. That’s where the journey truly began.

Living in the U.S., I had noticed how many homes had backyard BBQ grills and smokers, and I’d become fascinated by them. I used to watch custom build shows and their replays, never imagining that I’d end up doing something similar back in the Philippines—upcycling barrel drums into custom-built smokers and grills. When we posted photos of our first two grillers online, the response was overwhelming. Food park owners messaged us through Facebook asking to buy them. At first, we said no—but their persistence made us consider building new ones. What we thought would just be two units turned into much more. Referrals from those first buyers started pouring in—and that’s how BarrelProPh was born.

As the orders grew, my wife and I realized this could be the answer to our prayers—a way for me to stay with my family without returning abroad. Since 2016, we’ve upcycled countless barrel drums and wood crates. With constant research and valuable feedback from clients, our designs have continued to evolve. We’re endlessly thankful to everyone who has supported us on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. You have been instruments of God’s blessings—not just for me and my family, but for the entire BarrelPro team.

Stay tuned—there’s so much more to come. Let’s Chill and Grill!

All glory to God!
